PI Reg. Prof. Lee Cronin
Lee Cronin is the Regius Professor of Chemistry at the University of Glasgow with interests in synthesis, nanoscience, complex chemical systems, chemical engineering, robotics and algorithms. The focus of Cronin’s work is understanding and controlling self-assembly and self-organisation in Chemistry aiming to develop functional molecular and nano-molecular chemical systems, linking architectural design with function. Professor Cronin has been at the forefront of the development of the application of AI approaches to synthetic chemistry producing integrated synthesis platforms that incorporate machine learning approaches into autonomous synthesis machines.
